How much does a web site cost?

I offer 3 Website Design Packages designed to suit every budget.  Each package has several add-on options.  Customized website packages are available also.  The websites designed by Realm Web Design are professional, creative, beautiful, & effective.  But, my prices are very affordable.  Large web design firms in big cities such as; Los Angeles often charge 5 times what Realm does.  There is no question about it, Realm offers very reasonable, & competitive prices.

When and How do I make a payment?

At Realm full payment is preferred, but payment arrangements can be made.  For projects under $600.00 full payment is required to start.  You will receive an invoice via email, with a link to PayPal.  You can make your payment using a credit card, or debt card.  Due to long clearing times e-checks are not accepted.

How long does it usually take to have a web site designed?

Time Frame is determined by many different factors.  One of which is entirely up to you.  If you have all of your content ready, edited, etc, all of your photos ready,etc, then the quicker your website project will be completed.  Websites can be done in as little as 2 days.  If you are in a time crunch contact us and special arrangements can be made.

What is a URL?

URL is an acronym for “universal resource locator.”  The url is the address that you type in at the top of your browser to view your web page on the Internet. Realm’s url is http://www.realmwebdesign.com.  This is also known as the “address.”

What is Web Hosting?

Web Hosting is a Hosting Company that parks your website.  This is the launching pad (server) for your website.  If a website is loading really slow you might hear someone say “They have a really slow host.”  You can pay for your web hosting monthly or yearly.  If you don’t have hosting yet, or you feel you may be paying too much for hosting contact Realm and we’ll help you out.

What is a domain name?

The domain is the name in the url.  For example; “realmwebdesign.com” is our domain.  ”google.com” is Google’s domain, “yahoo.com” is Yahoo’s domain, etc.  You can buy your domain on Domains.com, Networksoulutions.com, and many others. If you do not have a domain name yet, I can assist you in purchasing an effective domain.

What is a Blog?

A blog is a website where an individual posts their opinions, like an online journal, usually daily on a certain topic of their interest.   It is organized by dates and categories.  Blogs run on programs like WordPress, which has now become popular to put on any kind of website, not just a blog, so that the site owner can go in and edit their content as they wish.  At Realm many websites (not just blogs) are designed on top of WordPress which allows you to edit and manage your won website if you wish.

What is an e-commerce website?

An e-commerce website is basically an online store.  Amazon is an e-commerce website.  If you have products to sell and your web design requires a shopping cart, you have an e-commerce website.
